A superfood is an all natural food that has superior health benefits. Superfoods contain anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals. An antioxidant is a substance such as Vitamin C, E, or K that helps remove potentially damaging free radicals. Vitamins are natural substances that are essential for nutrition and growth. Minerals are made from the earth and are also essential for nutrition and growth.

Bilberries may help eye sight

Bilberry: another name for bilberry is the European blueberry. Bilberries look similar to blueberries but they are smaller and more tart tasting. Bilberries grow as shrubs on the hillsides and mountains of Europe.

Bilberries might help improve your vision and your night vision. During World War II the fighter pilots would eat lots of bilberry jam which helped them see better at night.

Just like blueberries, strawberries and grapes. The bilberry contains anthocyanins and catechins which may help you burn fat.

Bilberries may help people with gastrointestinal problems. Bilberries could be great for anti-aging and keeping wrinkles away. If you have skin disorders they can improve.

I like to take a Bilberry supplement because fresh bilberries are hard to find.
