Why Beets Make My Heart Beat

Beets

Who likes beets? I do! Beets are healthy for my heart and help my heart beat. Beets have a rich red color. It is extremely important for our hearts to get colorful vegetables and fruits because the color is what contains antioxidants, flavonoids, carotenoids, phytonutrients and phytochemicals.

Beets help lower your blood pressure, fight against inflamed joints, reduce the risk of a heart attack and give you more energy. High in Vitamin C, K, Potassium and Iron.

Easy Recipe: Smashed Beets with Horseradish1 cup of canned beets drained or 1 cup of cooked beets1/4 cup prepared horse radish1 teaspoon honey1/4 teaspoon salt
